Ryegrass with standard endophyte (SE) can cause ryegrass staggers during the spring and summer seasons.

The plants are protected against the Argentine stem weevil and pasture mealy bug, offer some level of protection against the black beetle, and possess only limited defense against the root aphid and Porina.
