Benefits of HP Sheep & Beef Mix Treated

  • Blend of Ultra AR1 and Raider NEA2 perennial ryegrasses, plus Demand white clover.
  • Contains animal safe endophytes, AR1 and NEA2, for good insect pest control against black beetle, Argentine stem weevil and pasture mealybug.
  • Densely tillered grasses for increased grazing tolerance.
  • Late heading with very low aftermath seeding and excellent summer leafiness.
  • High yielding across all seasons, including strong cool season growth.
  • Excellent disease resistance and very strong persistence.
  • Use treated seed to provide protection for seedlings against insect attack.
  • Mix of 10kg Ultra AR1 perennial ryegrass, 10kg Raider NEA2 perennial ryegrass and 5kg Demand white clover.
  • Sowing rate: 25kg/hectare
  • Persistence: 5+ years (subject to climate, insect pest pressure and management)
  • Sowing dates: Autumn and spring
  • Heading Date: +20 days (Ultra) and +18 days (Raider)
  • Ploidy: Diploid (Ultra and Raider)

Contains AR1 and NEA2 endophytes.

AR1 protects plants from Argentine Stem Weevil and Pasture Mealy Bug with a limited defence against Black Beetle and no protection against Root Aphid, Porina, and Grass Grub.

AR1 is discouraged for use in the upper North Island due to its susceptibility to Black Beetle invasions, which could lead to the destruction of all ryegrass.

NEA2 offers protection from pasture mealy bug, some protection against Argentine stem weevil and black beetle, and weak protection against root aphid.

NEA2 also does not cause ryegrass staggers.
